Message from our Grand Master
On behalf of the Freemasons of Tasmania I extend to you a warm invitation to join us in Hobart in February, 2008 for the Installation of R. W. Bro. Norman Cooper as Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Tasmania.
The celebrations will commence with receptions on Thursday, February 21st and will conclude with a Service in St. David’s Cathedral, a Luncheon and Bus Tour on the Sunday.
Tasmania is a wonderful place to visit at any time of the year. However, during February we can expect long, sunny days with daytime temperatures of around 24oC. Hobart, with the River Derwent and Mount Wellington, is idyllic. The city abounds in historical interest, Tasmania being Australia’s second oldest State.
Over the last three years, Ann and I, together with my Deputy, Norm Cooper, and his wife Cy, have thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality and the company of Freemasons and their families from throughout Australia and New Zealand. We hope that you will be able to join us in Hobart in February so that we might return that hospitality and renew friendships.
