Grand Master Most Wor. Bro. Norman Cooper

Tasmania's Grand Master, M. Wor. Bro. Norm Cooper (pictured at left), now in semi-retirement, maintains
his extensive interest in Craft freemasonry and many other Masonic Orders, as well as continuing his
hobbies of gardening, fishing and boating.
Appointed Deputy Grand Master in 2005,
M. Wor. Bro. Cooper said he had three enjoyable years in that role,
travelling to all parts of the State and getting to know the brethren.
“I am enthusiastic about the future of freemasonry in Tasmania and heartened by the number and calibre of
candidates who have been joining our ranks lately,” he said.
M. Wor. Bro. Cooper continues his involvement with the Freemasons’ Homes of Southern Tasmania as a
Director on the Board. He is also an active member of the Rotary Club of Howrah .
He said he and his wife Cyrene were now enjoying “the formative years” of their "formative Years" eight
grandsons - the eldest having turned twenty!

Rt. Wor. Bro Campbell (John) Wallace
Born
at Home Hill (Nth. Qld.) in 1943.
Residential Address – Wynyard.
Married to Elva; two children (Kerri and Ken) & five grandchildren & one
great-grandchild.
Mother Lodge:
Initiated in Home Hill Lodge 237 UGLQ in 1978, and served as Master in 1987,
’89, ’92, ’96.
District Grand Lodge of
North Queensland:
Served as Steward in 1991 - 1992 and other various Offices up to District
Grand Director of Ceremonies in 1999 – 2000.
Served as a member of the District
Grand Board of Benevolence 1992-95.
Moved to Tasmania in 2000 and affiliated with Emu Lodge 23 T C at the end of
2000 and served as Master in 2002 & 2005. Affiliated with Poulett Lodge 18 T
C in 2007.
Joined Royal Arch Freemasonry in Inkerman RAC in Qld. and currently an
active member of Ramsay RAC in Burnie. Also active in several other Orders
in Tasmania.
Grand Lodge of
Tasmania: Served
as Grand Standard Bearer in 2002 and other various Offices up to Grand
Director of Ceremonies in 2006. and Grand Inspector of Lodges / North
West in 2007.
Career Highlights: After several years of seasonal work in the sugar industry, commenced a 19-year employment with a Stock-Feed business in Nth. Qld. as a truck driver, rising to manager of the manufacturing plant for several years, before leaving to manage a Fertiliser and Chemical supplier for the next 14 years. Retired to move to Tasmania.
Other Interests: Played Rugby League as a youth and spent some time as a boat owner and recreational saltwater fisherman in Nth. Qld.
