Masonic Homes of Northern Tasmania operate two aged care facilities and five residential villages in Launceston and Exeter.  Patient care and facilities are among the best in Australia.

Formed in April 1946, the  company provides high quality care, services and lifestyle to the elderly population of Northern Tasmania.

They specialise in respite, dementia and day therapy care at our aged care facilities in Launceston. The residential villages cater for more self oriented living for those who wish to maintain a closer community lifestyle.

Masonic Peace Haven is an Aged Care Facility catering to 48 residents with late stage dementia, 41 Hostel residents and a large Day Therapy Centre.

The staff are associated with senior educational institutions such as the University of Tasmania and provide regular support to nursing students.

Through its association with the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service, Masonic Peace Haven won the 2001 Prime Minister's Employer of the Year Award (Tasmania).

Residents are given care which is based on best practice and research. Many of our Registered Nurses have Science degrees, some with Honours. Untrained staff have been encouraged to enrol in training offered by TAFE and the University of Tasmania.
